MuscleMovers Amsterdam (Chamber of Commerce 90276159), Buitenveldertselaan 66b9, 1081 AB Amsterdam, the Netherlands, is responsible for the processing of personal data through musclemovers.nl. This statement explains which data we process, why we do so and how long we keep it.
What data we process
- Quote request and contact form: your name, company name if applicable, email address, phone number, departure and arrival address, floor and lift, preferred date, the size of your household, how you found us and your comments.
- Phone, WhatsApp and email: the information you share with us yourself, such as photos of your belongings.
- Use of the website: technical data such as your IP address, browser, device and the pages you visit.
Why we use this data
- To answer your request, prepare a quote and carry out your move. The legal basis is the (preparation of the) contract with you.
- To calculate the distance and driving time of your move. For this we send the addresses to the address service of the Dutch government (PDOK) and to OpenStreetMap.
- For our administration and to comply with legal obligations, such as the statutory tax retention period.
- To improve the website and our ads, but only if you give your consent (see below).
Cookies and measurement
We always place two functional cookies: mm_consent remembers your cookie choice (6 months) and mm_lang remembers your language choice (1 year). The quote assistant temporarily stores your answers in your browser, so you can continue where you left off. This data disappears when you close the tab.
With your consent we use Google Analytics and Google Ads. They place cookies to measure how the website is used and which ads lead to a request. When you send a request, we pass your email address and phone number to Google in encrypted form, so that the measurement is accurate. Without your consent these services place no cookies and Google only receives anonymous signals without cookies or personal data.
If you arrive on the website through a Google ad, we store the click code of that ad in the cookie mm_click (90 days), but only with your consent, and send it along with your request. If your request becomes a job, we report this to Google with that click code, the date and value of the job and, in encrypted form, your email address and phone number. This way Google learns which ads lead to jobs. Without your consent we do not store a click code and do not report anything to Google.
We also count visitors with Jetpack Stats by WordPress.com (Automattic). You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We only share it with parties we need to provide our services, such as our hosting and email provider, the route services mentioned above and, with your consent, Google. Some of these parties may process data outside the European Union. In that case appropriate safeguards apply, such as the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission. Otherwise we only share data when the law requires us to.
How long we keep data
- Requests that do not lead to an assignment: up to 12 months.
- Data of assignments and invoices: 7 years, because of the statutory retention period.
- Cookies: as described above.
Security
The website uses a secure connection (https). Only staff who need the data for their work have access to it.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, to object and to have your data transferred. If you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Send your request to contact@musclemovers.nl. We will respond within one month.
If you disagree with the way we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Changes
We update this statement when our way of working changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
